If you are looking to unlock your inner creativity, follow the tips outlined below.

Change your Language

Did you know that the dominant thoughts in your mind could propel you forward or hold you back? Instead of using problem words when thinking about your future, change your mind-set to be more positive. Optimism and confidence will place you in a position to unlock breakthrough ideas.

What Problem are you Looking to Solve?

Creative Puzzle Challenge

What is the driving force behind your desire to unlock inner creativity? What problems are you looking to solve, what milestones are you looking to achieve or what outcome are you looking to create? Clearly define the end result you hope to achieve to allow your subconscious mind to begin developing possible solutions or avenues. Your subconscious mind works all day long, so when you task it with a challenge, you are not only unleashing your inner creativity, but you are increasing efficiency. Allowing your mind to expand the possibilities for solutions will also enable you to become more creative.

Remove Fear from the Equation

Fear can often be a significant roadblock to someone’s ability to unleash their inner creativity. Next time you feel like fear is getting in the way of your success, ask yourself the question, “What’s the worst possible thing that could happen if I try?” When you consider what the worst possible outcome could be, you are effectively removing this roadblock from the mind’s path, allowing ideas to begin flowing, and action to begin when a solution or path has been decided upon.

Take Action – Brainstorm

Brainstorming is a process in which allows your creativity to flow, without restriction or restraint. Allow your mind to develop any idea, even if it isn’t an avenue or path that you plan on exploring. When your mind is less restricted, your inner creativity will flow. Brainstorming sessions are useful whenever you are considering new possibilities, ideas or solutions. Or, whenever you are in a rut!

Study Other People’s Ideas

One of the most widely used concepts for people who have learned to unleash their inner creativity is reviewing other people’s ideas, concepts, products and solutions. Review and doctor these ideas, adding, eliminating, simplifying or substituting to create something new, unique or even better than the original idea. You will be surprised to see the spark in your inner creativity when you implement this technique.
Next time you need to unleash your inner creativity, consider one or all of the ideas listed above. In no time, your creativity will be re-energized or boosted.
